Alarm Monitoring

Vista Data Vision includes everything needed to run a complete Alarm Monitoing System.  For a monitored alarm, alarm messages can be sent as Email and/or Text Message to a cell phone.

Alarms have a twofold purpose.

1. To monitor any incoming variable for alarms based on its defined limits.
2. To monitor the Update Rate for all Sites

 

For each variable you can adjust the following:

• Limits: Define the Low Low, Low, High and HighHigh limit for the Variable.
• Send Warning:  Send alarms to a group of Contacts.  Choose to send to different Contact Groups for Low & High and LowLow & HighHigh.
• Deadband:  Adjust how much the Value has to change to consider the alarm to go Off.  Deadband is used to eliminated constant sending of alarm messages for fluctuating values.
• Delay:  Choose a delay in minutes that the alarm must be active until an alarm is triggered.  Delay is used to eliminate sending Alarms when there are spikes on sensor values.
• Disable OFF Alarm:  Select if no alarm (Email or SMS) is to be sent when an Alarm goes OFF.  Notice that the event is still logged.

Full Web Access to Alarms.

View Alarm status online for all variables.  Configure Alarm Setup online.  Use the Access Control to define which Users have access to the Alarm Setup and which users can only see the Alarm Overview.  A full Alarm History is accessible in the log.  Contacts and Contact Groups can be created and edited online.

Alarms on Webmaps

Alarm monitoring on the web is made easy by Combing Real Time display with current Alarm status of each sensor for a powerful overview of the System Alarm Status. Data Update Alarm

View the Update status of your Sites online. Define a maximum time limit for each Site, if the data for a Site gets older then the time limit an Update Alarm is generated and sent as Email/Text Message. This greatly simplifies the task of monitoring the Update status for each Site.

Customize Alarm Messages

Vista Data Vision allows you to customize every aspect of the Alarm Messages. Create your own Alarm Message by using the Alarm Message Template, this allows you to send Alarms in any language. Customize specific features such as Email subject, header and footer.

Shift Editor for Contacts
Vista Data Vision allows you to create custom shifts to control which Contacts receive Alarm Messages based on day of week and time of day. For example:

• Alarms generated on weekdays between 8:00-16:00 (day shift) can be sent to one Contact Group
• Alarms generated on weekdays between 16:00 - 08:00 and on weekends to a different Contact Group.
