Q: I see that db.web.browser specifies IIE web server. Instead of IIE web server, I would like to run Apache web server. Can I do it?
A: You can run Apache or any other web server instead of IIE web server. In that case, skip the instructions regarding configuration of IIE and configure the web server you would like to use.
Q: I have db.web.browser up and running. Every time when I refreshed (by pressing F5 in Internet Explorer) I noticed that I got a new session_id. Simultaneously browsing the same site with Firefox didn't give me that problem. What can be wrong?
A: Check if there is is underscore ( _ ) in the web site domain name, like www.company. com/VDV_AccessControl. Internet Explorer denies setting the cookie on the client when there is a special character (like an _ ) in the domain name.
Q: In db.web.browser, I would like to use comma (,) as decimal point instead of dot (.). How can I do it?
A: The (,) vs (.) for decimal are read from the system setup for each PC. You can change it by open Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, and select Customize for Regional Options. Then change Decimal symbol from (.) to (.) and change Digital grouping symbol from (,) to (.). Apply and OK. Then re-open db.web.browser, and you should see new decimal symbol in graphs, latest data, tables and download.
Q: In the graphs of db.web.browser, I would like to display time as 24h time and not as AM/PM time. How can I do it?
A: The clock format is read from the system setup for each PC. For USA, default clock format is AM/PM. Some parts of the word have 24h clock.
You can change the way db.web.browser presents Date/Time.
In Windows, open Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, and select Customize for Regional Options. For Time, change am and pm into blanks, and change h:mm:ss into H:mm:ss (H is 24h). Apply and OK. Then re-open db.web.browser, and you should see 24h data in graphs, latest data, tables and download.
