Version 4.5 of Vista Data Vision has been released. Many new features and improvements have been added to version 4.5.
Click here to download VDV 4.5 Install or Update.
These new features include:
Report Toolkit
The Report Toolkit allows users to create Report summaries. The Reports can be generated as a delimited text file document and/or as a Microsoft Word document. Select variables to include in the Report and which summary action to perform (average, max, min, sum).
The Reports can be generated automatically and sent as email to a group of contacts, for example create a month report on the 1st of each month or create a year report on January 1st.
The Report Toolkit greatly simplifies the process of creating summary reports from logged data. System Administrators can add a valuable service to their customers by automatically creating and sending them weekly/monthly/yearly report.
Notes
Notes is a web based feature that allows Users to store diary records and connect them to Sites and Variables. Easily filter and search through Notes with various filter options. Complete control over User Access to Notes.

Overlay Graphs
Overlay graphs allow users to quickly compare different time periods for a selected variable. This allows users to spot trends or deviations.

Example: Electrical usage for a public school is being analyzed. A time period of one week is selected and a week in January and another week in June during holidays are being compared. As clearly indicated, the trend lines shows very different pattern depending of time of year. Note that electrical load drops during nights and weekends which is good, and base load is much lower during holidays which is also good.

Webmaps
Webmaps have been improved to allow Users to create nested Webmaps. Create a Webmap and define one or many hotspots on that Webmap that when clicked will open a new Webmap. As an example, this allows for Webmaps with many Sites and then when the User clicks on a portion of the Webmap a new Webmap is opened showing the selected Site in more detail.
Webmaps can now show a Data Update alarm. If data is not being updated, then the timestamp for a group on a webmap that shows data from that site will have a purple background.
