How is data stored?

VDV store its data in the speedy and robust MySQL data base, now owned by Oracle. The MySQL data base is included in the VDV install and a MySQL commercial license is included in the VDV license fee. The format is compact; one year for average field measurement station will add 10Mb to the hard disk. There is no need to be a data base specialist, the data base operations are automatic and invisible to the user, however SQL queries may be used if required.
