Viewing Time Series (Historical Data) in Vista Data Vision.

Vista Data Vision gives users many options in how to organize and present their data. It is easy to scroll back and forth in time or select a specific time period using a calendar control.  You have quick access to numerical values for the graph being viewed at any time.

Combine data from different Sites
Easily combine variables from different Sites into a graph using the Page Setup Wizard in VDV.

View numerical Values & save data as delimited text file.
When viewing data you have the option to view the raw numerical values as well as saving them to your own computer as a delimited text file that can be imported into Excel for further analysis.

Endless options to customize graphs
You can change color of trend lines, thickness of lines, background color, color below, above and in between trend lines, use left and right hand side Y-axis, set Y-axis scales as fixed, semi-fixed or auto, modify time stamp layout and so on.

Auto and Fixed Scale

Graphs in VDV can be configured to have Auto Scale or Fixed Scale. The top graph showing Air Temperature has Auto Scale. The Middle graph showing Wind Direction has Fixed Scale from 0 to 360. The bottom graph showing Wind Speed has a combination of Fixed and Auto scale. The Lower Limit is Fixed to 0 but the Upper Limit is Auto Scale.

Dual Y-Axis

Graphs can be configured to use a Dual Y-Axis. For each variable on the graph you can choose which Y-Axis to use. Customize each Axis to use either Auto or Fixed Scale.

Custom Time Format

Customize the Time presentation in graphs. Vista Data Vision allows you to enter your own Time Format using predefined time format codes. The top graph uses the default US time format. The middle graph uses Hour:Minute Weekday, day of month/abbreviated month name/Year (two digits). The bottom graph uses Hour:Minute:Second, Year-Month-Day.

Customize Graph Presentation

Using Page Setup you can customize every aspect of the data presentation. Choose the Color & Width for each plot. Select a Background Color for the Graph. Choose to display a plot as an Area or Column graph. Select the Scale for each Axis.
