After installing Vista Data Vision the db.robot.c gives an error message: "The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabVIEW is required to fix the errors"

When you have installed the .net framework db.robot.c should work fine.
Q: After downloading the VDV Installation file, it will give a Error 1722 after the install finishes.

A: To fix this error you must turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only.
Open the System Properties (right click the My Computer icon and select Properties), select the Advanced tab and select Settings under Performance. Select the Data Execution Prevention tab and check 'Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only'.

Q: After downloading the VDV Installation file, it will not open, and it has an error message stating: 'Error reading setup initialization file' in a pop-up window.
A: This error is usually the result of an unsuccessful download. Sometimes an installer package will have appeared to have downloaded successfully, because no error message was given about the download; however, you will not always receive an error message when the entire file was not downloaded successfully. When you run the exe file, it has enough information available to start running, but it will only get far enough to provide the error message shown above. Since it does not have the complete file content, it will not be able to read the setup inititializaton file.
Please download the installation file again and try again.
Another cause of the problem might be old files in your Windows install directory. Search your hard drive for a file called "VDV_Setup_*.exe", or possibly any file with a EXE extension. (Be sure to select the option to "look in system folders".) This should direct you to the temporary directory that Microsoft installer is using. On our Windows 2000 machine, for example, the install directory is under "C:\WINNT\Downloaded Installations\", in a subdirectory denoted by curly braces. Windows XP should use "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Temp". When you find the install directory on your machine, you should also see three INI files in that directory. These files should be safe to delete, however it may be safer to rename them. Rename all three INI files and the MSI file so they have a .OLD extension. For example, rename "setup.ini" to "setup.ini.old". The install program should work fine after that.
